Axis meets JDC No 1
Axis meets JDC No 1
The first hunt with the Joe Clayton No. 1 280 Ackley Improved. Texas Hill Country this weekend. That rifle in the back-ground is the JDC No 1, serial number 10. Great looking trophy Axis deer.

Thank you Bennett. I wish I could take credit. It was ROCS President, Lee Newton who pulled the trigger. I believe we can stay tuned for more pictures as the Texas Whitetail season opens in a few weeks.

Thanks Don for help posting pics. Maybe some good whitetail pics will be on the horizon in November and December! Check out www.classicsportingarms.com for more info on this special run of Ruger No.1's in 280 Ackley Improved to honor Joe Clayton.
